To avoid being charged extra, please provide a reference of the character(s) You wish to be drawn.
References such as photos of the scene, pose, clothing will help massively with the commissioning process. However, any genAI images will be ignored as I do not tolerate the use of it.

Personality/backstory/descriptions are very helpful for me when drawing the character, but if possible, please keep it brief as I have dyslexia and struggle with long paragraphs of text. Other information such as videos links or music to show the character’s personality is also helpful too.
Terms Of Service
Legal terms:
“The Artist” refers to the Artist known as “Cryptish”.
“The Client” refers to the person purchasing a commission from the Artist.
1. GENERAL TERMS- All artwork will have a small signature which the client is not allowed to remove.- The artist has the right to reject any order that I do not feel comfortable drawing for any reason.- The client must be over 18 to commission the artist, even if it is safe for work art.2. PAYMENT- Currency accepted is GBP and can be paid through PayPal invoice only. - This is after the client and artist have agreed on the quote of the commission and the client has read the terms of services.- Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval.- The client should only pay after the artist has agreed to give the client a slot and sent the invoice.3. PROCESS AND DELIVERY- The artist will notify the client when the artist has started on the commission and the client loses the rights to a refund (see point 7 further below for more info on refunds)- While the artist is working on the commission, the artist will review it with the client to make sure it is correct.- The amount of reviews depends on the complexity of the work.- During the reviews, the client will see work-in-progress and these images will usually include a watermark and be smaller than the finished piece.- The time it takes to finish the commission varies 1 week - 3 months depending on factors outside the commission (such as health, family, etc)- If anything comes up that will slow the progress of the initially estimated delivery time the artist will notify the client as soon as possible.- Once the piece is finished the client will receive the full-resolution image along with a web-friendly size.- The commission is a digital product only. The client is free to make a print of the full resolution image for personal use.4. REVISIONS- The client gets three chances of revision on the commissioned piece included in the price. This amount of revision can be higher depending on the complexity of the commission.- A fee will be added if the client wants something changed on the final drawing - unless a misunderstanding from the artist’s side has been made.- If the client wishes for the artist to change something in the drawing they have previously approved, the artist will charge the client a fee to change it. The amount of the extra charge depends on the change the client wants to make and is based on an hourly wage.- If the client’s reference is unclear to start with, changes will come at an extra charge.5. COPYRIGHT / USAGE POLICYThe artist claims all rights to the produced drawing, not the buyer.The artist is allowed to use the artwork to:- Post online
- Use for promotional purposes (example, portfolio, examples for commissions)The client is allowed to:- Use the commissioned piece for personal use unless agreed otherwise (you can upload it on all your social media profiles, forums, etc.)
- Print the artwork and claim the character(s) as their own, but not the artwork itself. (Unless it is fanart or real life people.)
- Use the artwork to promote themselves. The client is not forced to give the artist credit when they post it but it is very appreciated.
- Upload the resized image with the watermark.The following is considered copyright infringement:- Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way.
- Claiming the artwork as their own.
- Removing the artist’s signature from the artwork
- Altering the artwork without the artist’s consent
- The artist reserves the full rights to the image and its use/distribution unless otherwise agreed upon (rights to the image for non-personal use may be purchased at any time).
- Uploading the print sized artwork.If the artwork is a private commission:- The artist will not post the artwork online
- The artist will not use it for promotional purposes such as putting them in a portfolio or use them as examples for commissions.
- The rules regarding copyright infringement on the client’s end remain the same.6. STANCE ON GENERATIVE AI AND NON-FUNGIBLE TOKENS- The artist will not use generative AI at any point of the commission process.
- The artist will not accept generative AI as reference.
- The artist does not allow their artwork to be used for generative AI or non-fungible tokens (NFT)7. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION- The artist’s aim is to provide artwork that the client is happy with and would want to show to people.- If the client has a problem with anything in regards to the commissioned piece, they can message the artist about the issue at any point to discuss a solution.- The artist is willing to change some of the terms for the client if the client asks before the start of the commission.8. REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY- The client is not allowed a refund once the artist has completed the sketching stage.- If for any reason the artist is unable to start the commission, the client will receive a full refund.- If the client cancels their order before the artist has started it, the client can get a full refund.- The artist will transfer the refund to the client.- If the client requests a Paypal chargeback at any point when they are not allowed to ask for a refund, they will lose all aforementioned rights to the commissioned piece and the artist will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. The artist will decline the chargeback and supply Paypal with the conversations in which they talk about the commission as evidence that the artist has completed work for the client. Furthermore, the client will be blacklisted for commissioning the artist again.- If the client breaks any of the points stated above they will lose all the aforementioned rights to the artwork commissioned from the artist, and the artist will have the right to profit further from the commissioned artwork in any way they see fit.- If the client has a problem with any of these statements, they may be changed if discussed with the artist prior to paying the commissioned piece.9. WHAT THE CLIENT RECEIVES:- Drafts/mockups for the client to approve- Sketch and/or final sketches for the client to approve.- Insight and involvement in color plan (depending on the complexity of the commissioned piece)- Full-resolution file (approx. 210 x 297 mm at 300 DPI) of final drawing and a smaller version for internet upload. Final file formats are usually PNG.
